This session will demonstrate how to customize Nearpod ready-made lessons to help offer students choice during your small group times. With a focus on inquiry-based tasks, teachers leverage a student’s natural curiosity for academic growth.
This course offers an overview of AI in life and then turns to considerations of the classroom. First, the learner will see a brief history of AI while seeing its prevalence in our everyday lives. Next, the learner will move through concerns about AI in schools and then see historical examples that are applicable. Finally, the learner has an opportunity to practice using AI tools and see how they could potentially be used in the classroom.
This five-hour course bundle is specifically focused on middle school and high school ELA teachers as it works to develop a deep understanding of grading calibration and showcase the importance for teams to practice inter-rater reliability. Learners directly apply their learning and newly acquired skills by scoring sample student work using a holistic rubric and then receiving expert feedback from a calibrated team.
